True Freedom is the Ability to be Racist, Sexist, and a Bigot

True freedom is the individual’s ability to act freely without infringing on the natural negative rights on another human being. Natural negative rights are the rights to not be robbed, assaulted, raped, or murdered. Fundamentally these negative rights are all derived from self ownership and property rights. Inherent in this is the right to associate or dissociate from whomever one wishes. We discriminate all the time when we choose who to befriend, who to date, who to marry, which businesses to patronize etc. Inherent in all these decisions is the concept of opportunity costs, which are those options that were not chosen because one decision was made. Such a decision could be made on the basis of whatever justification the person had in mind.

The fundamental ideas of Racism, Sexism, or Bigotry are based off of everyone’s right to associate or dissociate from whomever for whatever reason. There is no inherent immorality in the idea of dissociation or exclusion. Just as this right is inherent in the individual, it is inherent in the business that individual manages. Every good or service is produced by the labor of an individual. No one is entitled to the labor of another for that would constitute the very quintessence of slavery.

Voluntaryism is a descriptive philosophy rather than a prescriptive philosophy. It only describes the very basic skeletal structure of how not to act. It does not describe what is wisdom, how to gain knowledge, or how to make new friends. For this reason, although one may be a bigot and simultaneously be a Voluntaryist it is not advisable. One would rapidly encounter other incensed individuals around him that would use their right to peacefully dissociate through economic ostracism and boycotting. By these methods the Free Market will organically weed out and extirpate undesirable behavior. Humanity is on a one way relentless march of ethical and moral progress.  Statism is a decrepit and collapsing dinosaur that is relic of our barbaric past. It is time to slough it off, never to return.

Mega Corporations Are Vile Mutations of the Free Market

It is supremely difficult to look at the dominant mega crony corporations of today and conclude that to be a product of a truly Free Market. That is the same as saying Wall Street is a paragon of the Free Market. It is more likely the case that such megalithic corporations achieved their dominant status by appealing to the State with such methods as regulatory capture, rent seeking, protectionist laws, the revolving door, minimum wage laws, and other barriers to entry.

The small mom and pop shop can never be considered in the same breath as the bloated monstrosities that include Monsanto, DuPont, Chevron, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Halliburton, Raytheon etc. There is a massive difference between a company with a lobby capable of bribing politicians, writing laws, and constructing regulations that will crush and disembowel the little start up businesses that strive to make a name for themselves. It is the height of irony that the Statist who advocates for a higher minimum wage and increased regulations will only empower the State to snuff out the very small businesses they are seeking to coddle and protect.

Hate the game, not the player. When there exists an institution that utilizes violence and threats of violence to achieve its ends, the State, one can be sure that dominant businesses will seek out the protection of such an institution to firmly entrench their dominance and destroy competition. Remove the perverting influence of the State and the scene equalizes such that the only way a business can grow to such gigantic proportions is by supremely satisfying the needs and desires of the consumers. In that way the dominance of a business will indicate its wondrous ability to serve humanity in the most magnificent manner possible.

Free Market Capitalism Is Not A System

Many people ask me, “But doesn’t your Free Market Capitalism system depend on people being generous angels? Without the State who will regulate the bad industries?” One of the main reasons why Free Market Capitalism works is because most people do want to trade voluntarily and peacefully. This is the only way that wealth is created and civilization develops. Wealth is not created by the wild adventurers of violent conquerors. Indeed this is how the delicate latticework of wealth of isolated peoples is wantonly destroyed.

There will always be the very small minority of psychopathic and sociopathic people who choose to use violence and threats of violence to solve their daily problems. When there exists no institution with the legitimate use of force AKA the State which would attract such vile people, they do not become a threat to anyone. The mafia differs from the State in that nobody hallucinates their use of force to be legitimate. Their commands and edicts are not viewed as laws and regulations. Their robbery is not viewed as taxation. Their kidnappings and murder is not viewed as the War on Drugs or the War on Terror. Their violent extortion racket is viewed as just that, a violent extortion racket.

Wealth is created by the billions of voluntary consensual transactions made by peaceful individuals that occur in the market economy every single day. These individuals likely know little to nothing about the price mechanism, competition, supply and demand, inflation, law of diminishing marginal utility, and Economics in general. Nevertheless unwittingly they are operating in accordance with these natural phenomena. Free Market Capitalism is based on human action. The true hidden beauty is that it is based on peace, love, and freedom.

It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.
