Seeds of Liberty Podcast Episode 51: Bretigne Shaffer, Voluntaryist and Author of Urban Yogini

Please enjoy this recent episode of the Seeds of Liberty Podcast. This week we were joined by Bretigne Shaffer, author of, among other things, ‘Urban Yogini: A reluctant superhero who cannot use violence.’ Herein we discussed her reasons and inspirations for writing the book, leading a yoga/spiritual lifestyle and gravitating towards non-violence over violence, death by a thousand cuts, moving on towards children’s steampunk novels, other freedom driven writers/musicians, statist indoctrination, don’t hit; don’t take other people’s stuff, shaking the paradigm, recent article “Must We Choose Between Mob Justice and the Police State?”, Detroit Threat Management, Cell411, and more!

Civilization is a stream with banks. The stream is sometimes filled with from people , stealing, shouting and doing the things historians usually record, while on the banks, unnoticed, people build homes, make love, raise children, sing songs, write poetry and even whittle statues. The story of civilization is the story of what happened on the banks. Historians are pessimists because they ignore the banks for the river.
