Intro to Debate: Todd Lewis (Christian Distributism) vs. Danilo Cuellar (Voluntaryist Anarchist)

This was an impromptu recording. I started recording when I realized how valuable this conversation was going to be. Here is the introduction of my recent debate with Todd Lewis. Here we discuss few people living on an island scenario, natural law transgressions, adultery, violations of contract, scalability of punishment, are there examples of legitimate non-consensual authority, parent/child relationship, mentally/physically handicapped people, defining basic terms, leader vs. ruler, Anarchy definition, Capitalism definition, State definition, Aristotelian State definition, patriarchal State, Plato’s The Republic, Monopoly definition, do property rights encourage violence, Private Property definition, tragedy of the commons, are monarchies private States, the donut problem, tangential hypotheticals, seen vs the unseen, appeal to antiquity, perversion of natural market incentives, is abortion the initiation of aggression, Walter Block fetal eviction and more!

Seeds of Liberty Podcast Episode 43: Nick Hazelton – Founder and Host of Anarcho Yakitalism Podcast

Please enjoy this recent episode of the Seeds of Liberty Podcast. This week we were joined by Nick Hazelton, who is the host of the Anarcho-Yakitalism Podcast and a co-host of the Freedom Feens. Herein we discussed Nick’s extremely short journey to anarchy, being a 12 year old that’s interested in politics, having your parents work in the same school as you attend, aspiring to be the Yak Whisperer, taking over a picnic area, getting close enough to milk a yak, convincing your parents that you don’t need school, being told that you are hypocritical for using the forced monopolies of the State, having a side hustle, starting a business to escape from the State, farming yaks and reindeer, growing mushrooms, and more!

Man Down – Blooded The Brave

When I discuss police brutality with some apologists, some of them assert, “Not all officer are abusive and that there are actually good officers.” Now I did not claim that all officers are abusive and that there are no good officers but like anything in order to understand the kernel we must examine the incentives. The fact is “government” is a monopoly on initiated aggression financed by the stolen funds of taxation and propped up by the belief in authority. Law enforcement is the agency that gives teeth and claws to every piece of politician scribble that Washington DC hemorrhages, regardless of how inane the law is. Strictly speaking law enforcement offices must enforce the law unilaterally and without prejudice. Now if that would be the case we would ALL have been kidnapped and caged, according to a book written by attorney Harvey A. Silverglate called Three Felonies a Day: How The Feds Target the Innocent published in 2009. According to this book we all commit at least 3 felonies per day regardless of our desire to obey every law, every regulation, and pay every tax. The sheer number of legislation makes it positively impossible for anyone to claim complete compliance with the law.

Man Down - Blooded The Brave

As a result law enforcement officers blindly enforce the law, which any robot can be programmed to do; rather they also are given what is known as discretionary authority. This is defined as the ability to arbitrarily enforce whichever law they deem fit to enforce given the situation or their current mood. This a massive power placed in the hands of people who can, at a whim, extort, kidnap, and cage any peasant who displays the temerity to challenge their authority, whether justified or unjustified. If it is ruled by the “government” kangaroo courts that the peasant is in the wrong, the peasant may face a hefty fine, extensive prison sentence, or some other such drastic punishment. If it is ruled by the “government” kangaroo courts that the peasant is in the right, the officer, due to judicial immunity, may receive a small fine, a vacation with pay, or at most a short prison sentence with the ability to return to his/her position afterwards. This is a blatant bias towards the law enforcement officer that is typical of any “government” agent. This gives law enforcement the ability or license to rob, assault, rape, and kill with impunity.

Victimless Crimes Are Not Crimes At All

As long there are rulers and the ruled and masters and slaves there is no equality under the law. There are only the political elite who fabricate the man-made laws, the special interest groups that sidestep the man-made laws with sovereign immunity, and law enforcement that arbitrarily enforce the man-made laws with discretionary authority. There is no equality that “government” can grant the people without first extorting and oppressing them. Being an advocate for “government” signifies that the people do not own themselves or the fruits of their labor; rather they are owned by the State. Voluntaryism is the only truly humane, compassionate, and peaceful philosophy because it grants full self-ownership and property rights for oneself as well as for every human being on Earth. This immediately repudiates and excludes any forceful authority AKA “government”. One cannot have two masters. Either you own yourself and the fruits of your 100% or you do not. If you do not then you are implying that someone else has a higher claim on you. This belief in authority has been responsible for some of the worst atrocities in history. It is the most dangerous superstition! Vacate the State!

And, indeed, what is the State anyway but organized banditry? What is taxation but theft on a gigantic, unchecked, scale? What is war but mass murder on a scale impossible by private police forces? What is conscription but mass enslavement? Can anyone envision a private police force getting away with a tiny fraction of what States get away with, and do habitually, year after year, century after century?

Law Enforcement Legal Plunder Hypocrisy

There are many blatant double standards that clothe the local monopoly on violence known as law enforcement. When some people are given superhuman rights over other people simply by virtue of their shiny piece of metal, costume, or special hat and are thus able to interpret the arbitrary political edicts at their discretion to murderous ends with immunity, it is quite apparent that we do indeed live in a state of chaos and disorder. They are entirely unaccountable for their actions and do not respond to the incentives and feedback mechanisms that bind the actions of a private security agency. Regardless of their heinous actions they will get paid through extorted funds, so what then is the incentive to treat the populace as customers to be satisfied? Rather the populace is viewed more and more as sheep to be frightened into submission.

Police Zone No Breathing

This also illustrates the lunacy of the notion “equality under the law”. When there is clearly a difference between the rulers and the subjects or the lords and their serfs, equality under the law becomes a laughable notion accepted only by the morally blind who, no doubt, have been raised to believe such contradictory nonsense through their “government schooling”. There never existed equality under the law, even back when the Constitution was just written, for the very reason that there has always been a clear separation between lawmakers and law-abiding citizens. It is the mark of a successful representative democracy to persuade the peasants into believing that they can influence the violent legislation that subjugates them nay that they are in control of their “government” at all. Man-made laws are ideas so good that they must be forced upon the population by pain of death.

Unquestioningly Obeying Authority

We live in an era of the appeal to force AKA argumentum ad baculum. He who has the bigger guns rules. In our current society it is “government” who holds most of the guns. By this logic if “government” can kidnap, cage, or murder you then they must be the rightful authority of all things moral and just. Just like superior numbers do not change the laws of morality so too does superior force not change the laws of morality. They may have most of the guns but their true power lies in the belief in authority AKA argumentum ad verecundiam. When the people stop believing “government” has such superhuman rights and stop giving them legitimacy for their evil, then they will be recognized as the liars, extortionists, thieves, molesters, rapists, and murderers that they are. The extent to which we choose to interact with our neighbor through the violence of “government” is the extent to which we have failed as a civilized society. The extent to which we live by the sword instead of by the plough is the extent to which we have chosen to become the monsters we fear our neighbors to be. Let us put the guns down to slough away our medieval Statist shell replete with mandates, rulers, and taxations. Let us relegate Statism to the dustbin of history along with the other demon children it has spawned such as war, genocide, chain slavery etc. Let us finally emerge to recognize the dawn of man’s true Renaissance, the age of voluntary interaction amongst peaceful people. When no one obeys, no one rules!

Should We End The Drug War

A free market in police would reward efficient and courteous police protection to customers and penalize any falling off this standard. No longer would there be the current disjunction between service and payment inherent in all government operations, a disjunction which means that police, like all other government agencies, acquire their revenue, not voluntarily and competitively from consumers, but from the taxpayers coercively.

Murray Rothbard

GMOs Are To Food What Keynesianism Is To Economics

Some people can get lost in the GMO debate all the while sidestepping the primary issue at hand. Regardless if GMOs are entirely safe or dangerously carcinogenic one thing is for sure, the mega bio-tech corporations that produce and patent these transgenic seeds would not have grown to colossal sizes without the massive aid and sovereign immunity that “government” has ensured through it’s status as monopoly on violence. Remove the gun in the room and allow Monsanto, DuPont, and Syngenta to market their products to the people. I am confident that the GMO market would immediately collapse simply based on the fact that many people support cheap local farmer’s market food over an expensive dead product synthetically made in a laboratory.

When “government” ceases its coercive influence the massive farm subsidies will also dry up. This will reveal the true hidden cost of transgenic food, terminator seeds, monoculture farming, and the over-use of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. It is quite illogical for GMO or pesticide laden food to be so much cheaper than organic whole food that is absent such harsh intervention. The chief reasons for this price distortion is the direct “government” subsidization of the former through extorted taxpayer funds and the encumbering effects of requiring organic farmers to fill out reams of paperwork and pay various fees which serve no useful function but to slowly strangulate them to death by means of regulation. Therefore the taxpayer ultimately pays thrice, first by means of increased taxes, second by means of more expensive healthy food, and third by means of the medical expenses that are the direct result of eating such dangerous transgenic food. Dispel the myth of Statism and you will immediately be liberating food, which has been held hostage for decades. Eat for the body you want, not the body you have!
