Taxation Hinders Progress And Bleeds An Economy Dry

It is erroneous to say if one is born into a wealthy family that such an accident of birth is moral or immoral. It is just that, an accident. We all lead our lives based on the merit of our own actions. Being born wealthy does not necessarily guarantee a comfortable life. This involves the “rags to riches to rags” concept. This denotes the trend that the immigrants that came to the US centuries ago came with nothing. Through their own hard work and innovation they made something of themselves and established a fortune that they passed down to their heirs. Despite the fact that they were born into comfort, their heirs who were not endowed with this hardy opportunistic attitude thereafter squandered the wealth. Rags to riches to rags.

Angry Bird Taxpayers

The issue is not about wealth inequality. There will always be wealth inequality because we were all born into different situations, genetic deficiencies, and families. I have exactly the amount of options available to me, which I have worked for, and nothing more. To say it is unfair that Bill Gates has more options available to him because he is wealthy is to neglect to mention all the hard work and sacrifice he made to achieve that position.

Euphoric Feeling Of Intaxication

The time in history when taxation was highest is when innovation and true wealth creation is most stifled and hindered. True wealth creation is only stimulated and enhanced when the employers and entrepreneurs are able to function freely. Progress cannot occur when the most productive people, entrepreneurs and employers, are being robbed the most, for they are the true source of wealth of any prosperous society.

Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners.

About Danilo

A practitioner of Eastern Healing arts with degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese medicinal herbs, I have always questioned the status quo, a path which led me to peaceful anarchism. Through my journey, I have worn many hats, that of a classical pianist, avid chess player, philosopher, comedian, and now father of two little anarchists. My wife brands me as a Cultural Critic, but I am simply following my thirst for knowledge and passion for writing.
